This boutique hotel is unforgettable. The historic ambiance takes you back in time. The hotel staff were genuinely kind and helpful. The traditional Turkish breakfast was our favorite part. We felt as if we were being hosted in someone’s home. Amazing stay. Highly recommend this konak.

This is historic building , you can see lot old building features. the bedding and floors were very clean and home is well maintained. The owner were incredibly warm and welcoming. We had a delicious breakfast—better than what we had at restaurants! Many of the items were homemade, and the vegetables were even grown by the hosts themselves. The cucumbers were especially fresh and naturally sweet. We also really enjoyed sitting outside—the setting was beautiful, peaceful, and very relaxing. We had a terrific stay !

Historically perfect- clean and breakfast delicious- had a nap on the swing chair after walking Safranbolu historical old town. Make sure to take walking sticks to really take in all the views in town - location was perfect!!

Akbulut Konak is a beautiful old Ottoman house set in its own peaceful garden just far enough out of the old town but still walkable. The host is extremely attentive and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious with lots of homemade jams, cheeses, eggs, bread and pastries. We coukd not fault our stay here in August and woukd recommend to everyone.

The most relaxing and peaceful sanctuary! Everybody at Akbulut Konak is incredibly kind and helpful and the breakfast is an absolute superstar. Akbulut Konak is also walkable to museums, restaurants, cafes and shopping. If you want the perfect place to stay in Safranbolu, this is it - you will absolutely love it!

Beautiful property set in a an old Ottoman house with a garden. It's within walking distance of the Safranbolu town centre, which has plenty of eating & shopping options. The owners are the sweetest, nicest people, very personable & helpful. The breakfast is a big & delicious spread with lovely personal touches, like the homemade jams. We loved Safranbolu as a town and would love to visit again. If we do, we'll be sure to stay at Akbulut Konak again.

What a lovely place. The owner speaks very little English, but on our first morning he’d asked his son to come and explain the area to us. The room was very comfortable, the heating was on (mid April) and it was cosy. The shower room is clean and the shower was great, but the room is very small with wooden doors that open out. The traditional breakfast was excellent and blackcurrant juice was available as I don’t drink cay (chai) or coffee. There’s a lovely terrace and when we came back mid afternoon, our host brought juice and biscuits out to us. It’s a 5 minute walk downhill to the main square. The access from the main road is @ 200m of traditional cobbles, but we had a safe and hard standing surface for our motorcycles inside the gates

It was the best facility I encountered in Turkey. Safranbolu at the time I travelled is not so packed, so you can truly enjoy its heritage and sights. The hotel is excellently located to do everything in town on foot. The room was VERY comfortable and breakfast simply glorious!

Amazing hotel

We had a lovely stay in this incredible hotel for two nights. The host Mr. Iman and his wife are very helpful and super nice! Breakfast was amazing. The beautiful garden with parking lots. Great location. Hotel located in a quite street but 5 min walk to oldtown center. Super impressed. Highly recommended!

Beautiful, clean and comfortable

This is the first hotel I stay at Safranbolu, I was amaze by the scenery of heritage town. The hotel is restored from old otttomen house, and spacious garden, everything look new, and the room is clean. If you look for spacious room, it’s may not suitable for you, but if you look for clean and historical building, that is the best choice! The owner can’t speak well English, but he is friendly and helpful. I will come back again. There is not much hotel from Safranbolu has provide car park, but the hotel has it.

Beautifully renovated and well-maintained konak turned bed & breakfast. The rooms were spotless, the staff were friendly, and breakfast in the garden was excellent. The owner, Iman Bey, gave us a tour of the cellar and the main room, and the house has a fascinating history behind it. He also kept many of the original items from when they took the house over, all genuine archival pieces. Everything is within walking distance, and we walked everywhere. Güzelce restore edilmiş ve özenle korunmuş, pansiyona dönüştürülmüş bir konak. Odalar tertemizdi, personel güler yüzlüydü, bahçedeki kahvaltı da harikaydı. Ev sahibi Iman Bey bize mahzeni ve başodayı gezdirdi; konağın arkasında çok etkileyici bir tarih var. Evi devraldıklarında evde bulunan eşyaların birçoğunu da saklamış, hepsi orijinal, arşiv niteliğinde parçalar. Her yere yürüme mesafesinde, biz de her yeri yürüyerek gezdik.
