Hidden gem in Chelsea
The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were delayed getting to the hotel on the first night and, every time I called, the person at the desk assured me that all was okay. They even thanked me for keeping them informed as to our status. The room was spacious for an older hotel and it was sparkling clean. Our friends stayed at a more 'upscale' hotel several blocks uptown but their hotel room was tiny and the staff was rather surly. We had a King bed in our room but our daughter and family had two double beds and their room was huge! In the morning, they had coffee, tea, bagels and muffins -- enough to get you going until you found a restaurant. (BTW, there's a Starbucks and a Dunkin Donuts right across the street on the corner and both have walk-away breakfast fare.) The hotel is right next to the 1 Metro Line which will take you Uptown or Downtown and it's within blocks of the Chelsea Market and the High Line. We would definitely stay here again.

Thank you, Chelsea Savoy!
I’m absolutely satisfied my stay with my children at Chelsea Savoy. It’s close to all attractions and very clean and comfortable atmosphere and beds, we have a breakfast every morning complimentary, it was not so many food like maffins, cream cheese, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk, but it’s better than nothing, because the price per night was low. I had appreciated our luggage was saved in the hotel after we was checked out, and it gave us chance to visit Empire State Building. I can really recommend Chelsea Savoy for staying!

Family trip to NYC
We stayed for 5 nights at the Chelsea Savoy. I was a bit concerned when we arrived and both elevators were out of order, as my daughter was in a wheelchair due to recent knee surgery and unable to walk the stairs. Luckily, the situation was resolved quickly and the elevators were functioning for the rest of our stay. The room itself was nothing fancy, but clean. The size was sufficient for four females. My only real complaint with the room was the dim lighting. We happened to get a corner room, which was sort of an L shape, and the only window happened to be in a section in which any light from it did not help light the main living area of the room. It got quite frustrating getting ready with such poor lighting. We did notice other rooms in our hallway were much better lit since they had a window by the beds allowing outside light in. If you're looking for a view and something fancy, this is not the place for you. If you just need a place to sleep and get ready for outings that is clean and fairly roomy for NYC, this will do the job at a reasonable price. There were subway stations closeby that were very convenient to our activities and we really enjoyed Chelsea Market which was just a short walk away.

Clean and located in a perfect spot. The bagels at breakfast were amazing. The only flaw was that I could not get the wifi to connect. I would stay there again.

Thumbs up!
Very nice boutique hotel in a great area of town. Very convenient to subways and super 'walking' neighborhoods.
