Gem away from city bustle
Quick early check in, that I paid for. Rooms are small. Very clean, quaint. Chair and hooks in room. No closet. Back SHELF to store souvenirs and phones, food, beds. No fridge or micro. Shower only. We opted for zero room service, received gift bag instead. Extremely comfortable, quiet area. Locals come to this area to shop. Very dead/quiet at night. Flower stand and vegetable stand within 1 block. Pharmacy and many kinds of shops. Cash machine and bank within 1 block. 2 tram #17 stops within 1 or 2 blocks of hotel. ......first day in caught Uber near Schipol Sheraton. 25 euro. Worth it. Address for Uber stop is literally at the opening to the mall area entrance. There is no way to get to hotel entrance right off of street. It looks like a store front in open air mall, hidden behind a building. If you see the HEMA department store you are in right area. The 17 stop, if you come by tram is Osdorpplein. We took 17 to Central station for many things. So convenient. 3 stops from Lelylaan station. 30ish min tram ride to central station from Osdorpplein. Breakfast was 11 Euro. Pastry, bread, meats, cheese, hard boiled egg, coffees, teas, juice cereal. Area very compact. Buffet style. Water beer, wine, some snacks for purchase at front desk. Most staff very friendly, some standoffish. Very helpful with directions, also able to by transportation passes at desk. Perfect hotel for tourist. Very clean, felt very safe.

Good 6.0
Was ok....
The hotel was fine. The lady who listens to R Kelly was the best she deserves PRAISES!!!the rest of the staff could have been friendlier. We complained about the shower door not closing and the next day the staff just took out the door and we had to clean up the puddles from the bathroom floor because of the water and no shower door. The rooms are small and more suitable for couples or single travelers, not family members. Plus there is a lack of privacy with the bathroom. It’s awkward using the bathroom with an obvious crack between the wall, door and the glass being a little transparent.

Very Good 8.0
Citiez Hotel Amsterdam
Citiez was a great place to stay. I paid less than $100 a night for a nice hotel room. The hotel is located right on a number 17 tram stop. It is also very close to a number 2 and number 12. So, it is very easy to get wherever you want to go. However, those trams will take about 30 minutes to get you to typical tourist destinations, so if you want to be walking distance from museums or Dam square, this is not the right place for you. if you don't mind taking a little time to get to and from places, this is a great option period I really enjoyed that the front desk was staffed 24 hours a day, and that I was able to pay hostel prices without having to actually stay in a hostel.

Exceptional 10.0
The hotel was nicer and cleaner than I expected. It is a block away from the tram and convenient location if you don’t mind a half an hour tram ride to city center. The area also has some restaurants, Supermarkets and shops.
