Worth the bed alone!
The service was wonderful, the bed was so good! And the room was pretty much perfect! We just needed it for the night but we will come back for more!

Great view
We have stayed twice at the White Heron Lodge. The location is great, the view is just as you see in the pictures. The units are ok, but could units could use a bit of an update. Our problem was we booked we thought the ground floor unit, but ended up in the upstairs unit. The stairs were an issue, so if you want to make sure you are getting what you book, you better phone and verify. We would go back, because of location and view.

Good location, meh everything else
Pros The location of the hotel was excellent, adjacent to the beach (although of the several buildings that made up the hotel ours was farthest from it so it was a The room itself is small but adequate (had a queen and a twin). It was a nice touch that a corkscrew/bottle opener and a small cutting board were provided, both of which we used. When initially pulling in, the parking area didn't look large but I didn't have any problems finding a spot close to our room while we were there. Cons When I checked in, the desk attendant didn't go over any of the amenities. It was only the morning we checked out that I was on their website to check for the front desk phone number (since this isn't provided in the room) that I saw that they lend out beach toys - wish the desk clerk had said something when I was checking in with my 8 year old daughter since that's something we definitely would have used. There is no A/C (there was a small fan) and despite it being only in the 60s our room was stuffy. I opened the windows overnight to air it out but then was awakened at 5am by a garbage truck. It was also highly annoying that the housekeeper barged in when I was about to get into the shower despite my having the "Do not disturb" sign on the door. And the worst/grossest was that the toilet didn't seem overly *ahem* "strong". It got plugged a few times and at one point overflowed despite vigorous plunging. It eventually got clear but at one point I was won

We stayed at the Waves for a Birthday celebration. I arranged to have a food platter and wine delivered to the room. Everything was local, great quality, and delicious..The room was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed our stay and would stay at The Waves again if we return to Cannon Beach.
