Very nice stay in Portland, OR
This upscale hotel is very nice: convenient central location, nicely decorated rooms, excellent service, gourmet teas and coffee in the lobby every morning. The Best was the quality of bedding: it felt like sleeping on a cloud.. The price was very reasonable, considering the quality of this hotel. I'd be happy to stay there again.

Great place to stay in the middle of the city.
Very nice stay! Extremely clean, beds were beyond comfortable, huge bathroom and tub. The service was excellent! We felt very safe with the security measures to use the elevator to get up to our room. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.

Very Good8.0
Didn't get to spend a lot of time in the room. Great sized bathroom, quiet, looked like a beauty of a restaurant. The front desk wasn't friendly and actually pretty cutting upon check in. After traveling all day that wasn't the greeting we wanted. The rest of the staff was very nice and easy to check out at a really early hour.

Apathetic service and Average decor
Really unimpressed. The hotel isn’t cheap. And the room decor and service is very average. You walk into the reception and it’s very fresh, well designed and then you walk into the room and realise the update stopped at the reception. Everything is adequate just dated and the bathroom tiles are dirty. Similar to what you’d see at an aquatic centre. The housekeeping is terrible. we found life saver mints scattered on the floor and under the bed when we arrived. They were there after the housekeeping the next day. And on the third day they had just been placed on top of the desk. On the 4th day we hadn’t had toilet paper replaced. On the 5th day we were out from 9am till 11pm and returned to see no housekeeping was performed at all. I called reception - they didn’t apologise just asked if we’d like that to performed. At 11pm. I declined given the time and just asked for towels and toilet paper. Again no apology was issued. Just poor customer service. The irony was not lost on me when noting the sign they leave on the bed saying that if you decline room service, the hotel will donate $2 to friends of trees. I’m hoping that a housekeeping wage is larger than $2 per room so this just seems to be a cost cutting tactic from the hotel. On top of this when checking out I discover a $490 hold that had been put on my card without being told. I queried this at reception and said I wasn’t informed and was given a shoulder shrug and told this is a standard charge.
