Unfortunately the worst hotel we stayed at in Peru.
How it claims to have a 5 star rating is beyond me - it may have been one day, but it's now a 3 star masquerading as a 5.
Pros
- beautiful grounds
- included breakfast and dinner
Cons
- very tatty all round, furniture is worn, stained and everything has a general run down feel
- the 'pond' was filthy and thermal spring pools had a film
- no blackout blinds in the rooms, just very flimsy privacy type curtains
- bathroom dark with no lights and extractor fans with noisy bearings
- the most surprising of all, very bad service in the restaurant and front desk. This is weird as everywhere in Peru is extremely welcoming, but check in and restaurant staff were extremely brusque.
- 10am checkout! (Offered a late checkout when we were at reception with bags, a weird time to offer it!)
- staff uniforms were tatty and stained, I wouldn't normally care, but do if it's claiming to be 5 star!
- the "superior" room we booked was nothing like the pictures.
Overall, very poor
