I’ll Stay Here Again
A weekend stay. The bed and pillows are comfortable. The temperature is fine. The room is smartly updated. I love the couple of remaining old 1920s touches. My only problem was a slow to drain tub while I showered. I informed the front desk on my way out. The debris was removed by the time I returned.

Historic, grand and very comfortable
Everything from the hotel lobby to the corridors to the rooms feels historic and grand, like it is still stuck in the 60s or 70s, but in a good way. The rooms are spacious, the bedrooms are some of the biggest I've seen! Our stay was pleasant and comfortable. The staff was very courteous and accommodating, they even let us check out a little later and keep our bags at the front desk while we returned (we were staying at a different sized room the other night). I'm not sure what some of the other reviews are mentioning about the staff attitude, I found them to be very nice and ready to help! The only little thing was the super archaic steam radiator heating system -- it is pretty cool and blends with the old feel, but we had to pick between steam whistle noise or being somewhat cold at night. It was one of the coldest and snowy nights of the season, so maybe it was just me. Overall, very satisfied and will definitely return!

Won’t be back
Absolutely LOVE this hotel and the restaurant/bar. Been there many times and was always completely happy. The last two times I had a few small issues and wanted to reach out to management with them. I left a few voicemails and never got a callback. Finally got ahold of the manager who was beyond rude. Our door was left ajar which I was not happy with at all. His response? “If you don’t want your door open close it when you leave”. Totally unacceptable. Will not be back. It’s a shame such a nice place has someone that unprofessional running the show

Bad service
I was charged another $90 on top of the price. Then I was downgraded from a room with 2 beds I requested to a room with 1 bed and a cot because I found a water leak in the room with the 2 beds. Instead of apologizing and maybe upgrading me to a better or at least the same value. They downgraded me.

Mattresses and sleeping was terrible. Would not sleep there again or recommend it. The history of the hotel was nice and the front desk was very friendly though
