We stayed two nights in the luxury suite in the hotel annex. Whilst I was initially concerned having already booked the hotel, and then read many of the reviews, I cannot complain about the quality and cleanliness of the rooms. The rooms are beautifully appointed, clean, modern and stylish. Yes, they are close to the train station, yes they are in a dense, residential apartment block. That said, we were there to see Santa Margherita and Portofino. No issues at all with noise during the night. Breakfast was great, welcoming and attentive service, secure parking and excellent concierge service. May be some guests, based on some reviews are setting different expectations for a 5 star hotel. If you are looking for a “hotel” holiday with piano bars, private beaches and grandiose buildings, may be this boutique hotel is not what you are expecting. That said, this hotel feels fairly priced and I would return.
