Poor 2.0
When we arrived the guest service agent, Julie, with great attitude gave us the biggest hassle checking into my coworkers hotel room that had already been confirmed and paid. She said, “oh no one told you, you’re not staying here tonight” continued to explain there was a plumbing issue and they’re unable to accommodate the reservation but they’ve transferred the reservation to their sister property 1.5 miles away without notification or remorse. Continued to try and check me into my room. We are traveling together, so why would we stay at separate hotels, when we booked together... No problem solving was offered. We asked if we could get 2 queen beds, she said “no you can either stay in the Queen bed or she (pointing at my friend) can get a cab to our sister property.” When trying to escalate to the manager, she refused to allow us to speak to a manager, making up false stories trying to cover herself. We asked if they can switch another guest since that is a thing and she started figuring out how to transfer another guest. We then were “allowed” to check into the already reserved room but it wasn’t available. With great disrespect, Julie asked do you guys want to be on the same floor and we were questioning if that would even be a possibility and she said yeah why wouldn’t you be allowed. Finally we asked for the manager again... no sign of her. When we got back, the new agent notified us there was no plumbing issues, but they were oversold. So disappointed

They didn't want to give me my room I prepaid for
The hotel didn't let me in my room when we returned in the evening from my nephew's graduation . They said they oversold and gave my room away, even though I came in earlier that day to drop off my luggage and they said everything was fine. After trying to rebook another room at another hotel for me which took over close to two hours, they realized they dropped the ball and finally found a room at the hotel that I originally booked at midnight off May 21, 2109. This was stressful and unacceptable. I trusted to make sure I had a room I prepaid for and this was not the way I expect you as a business to handle the issue. I would appreciate it you look into this matter and get back to me with some kind of acceptable refund and or finding a new hotel room heavily discounted/free for the next time I use your booking site.

“Meh” in Manhattan
This is a mediocre property. There’s construction going on outside, including scaffolding at the window. Even by New York standards, the room was tiny. Several lights in the room were out, and the toilet seat was broken The only saving grace is that the price matched the property. The bathroom is so small, they had to put the towels in the closet by the front door, as there was no place for them, or anything else, in the bathroom. Truly an example of “you get what you pay for.” In fairness, the bed was comfortable.

Nice renovation but noisy.
The hotel has had a recent extensive renovation so the facility is in very good condition. Rooms are small but with boutique style finishes and small but very nice bathrooms. My 4th floor room overlooked busy Lexington Avenue and the noise level was very high: better sound-proofing and better grade windows would have made my stay more enjoyable. I recommend earplugs and/or playing Pandora. “Breakfast” was hard boiled eggs, toasts, bagels, doughnuts, juice, and tea or coffee. If you like breakfast, eat elsewhere.
