Very good choice off breakfast

Ok hotel

No parking off road available, noisy during the evening
John, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Rooms were nice, but the breakfast was disappointing - no staff available so very DIY, and a basic range of options (a few cereals; bread and a toaster; yoghurt; tea/coffee and a kettle)

6/10 Good

Staff were friendly. Big single glazed windows right across the room felt very over looked. Noisy from main room it was extremely hot in room but still had to close windows because of the noise. Turned up for breakfast and had to search for someone to ask. Found the cleaner who was cleaning even though we had booked a time slot. Then waited 45 mins for it which was not worth the wait. It was very greasy.it served a purpose to see a friend and room was clean . Felt a bit like fawlty towers No coffee had to ask the an instant jar of melow birds arrived. Toaster but no bread.

10/10 Exceptional

Room was clean and perfect for what I needed, comfy bed, decent size en-suite bathroom and great shower. Good breakfast as well, with both continental and cooked options. Cooked breakfast was delicious with the only quarm being thicker sausages preferred. 9.8 out of 10, recommend to anyone and would love to stay again when the opportunity rises.

It was okay

It was okay for 1 night stay. It's a pub with rooms above. Serve yourself continental breakfast was sufficient. Shower was defective. Hose was not attached properly.

Great pub, great staff!

Great pub with rooms! The room itself was nicely equipped and modern with a very comfy bed and decent bathroom. The staff were very friendly and welcoming as were the locals in the pub! The breakfast was excellent and if I'm ever to be in Middlewich again I would definitely stay here again

Weekend away

We arrived at the hotel and reported to reception a nice chap showed us our room and gave us one key, we went out for a meal and arrived back to be locked out front door wouldn’t open with our one room key and the back door was locked so after a while we managed to get in through the kitchen no mention of breakfast or time so we went down at 8-30am nobody about so made a coffee and a lady turned up and said would we like breakfast which we had and it was first class . This is not a complaint but hope it helps

Lovey place but the road noise is terrible

Right next to a main road - constant noise all night therefore didn’t sleep too well. It’s not the hotels fault obviously.

Nice friendly hotel

Room was nice and clean. Traffic noise was very load and kept us awake most of the nights. Nothing they can do about that tho. Request 2 vegetarian breaks for 2 nights stay. Request was not made. Therefore you would think you would get more of the none meat items, which we did not, disappointed with that but overall the breakfast was nice. All the staff was friendly and helpful.

OK basic accommodation in old school pub.

Old school pub accommodation but my room was relatively modern and ok for a short stay. Beware the pub / hotel is on a busy road so if you get a room at the front you will need to keep the windows shut, but handily they do give you a fan. No cooked breakfast available during my stay, only a DIY continental breakfast which was adequate and varied. Limited parking on site (can only fit max 6 cars in car park and it also serves as pub CP so difficult to get a space. Unofficial parking opposite hotel on side road outside a DIY store.

6/10 Good

The stay started fine with great service from a lovely Irish lady. However the following morning when I went for breakfast the place was in darkness with no sign of any staff. I waited for 10 minutes then returned to my room. I tried again 15 minutes later and it was still in darkness. The 3rd time there was 3 other guests waiting...... We found a kettle and made a drink and waited. No sign of any member of staff. I couldn't wait any longer so I left to find breakfast elsewhere at my own expense. Don't think I'll be back....
