Dining ranges from late-night taco trucks to farm-to-table bistros with flavors spanning Vietnamese pho to Mexican classics. Most spots are walkable thanks to wide sidewalks, though Metro buses connect major routes. Boutique hotels and charming bed & breakfasts offer artistic accommodations that perfectly match the neighborhood's creative spirit.

"Great staff first and foremost, very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is above average hotels. Safe parking!"
Marriott Marquis Houston
"The spa needs to have better management and oversight. We booked a very expensive treatment and unfortunately, the entire experience was disrupted by a group of women who were extremely loud and disrespectful of the facility and other guests. They were allowed to play music in the locker room, were screaming and yelling, and even began rummaging through lockers looking for additional robes. In the process, they were moving and tossing around other guests’ personal belongings. What was most concerning was that spa staff did not intervene or contact security. I ultimately had to contact security myself before someone finally came and escorted the group out. We later learned that these women did not have spa services booked and did not even have passes to use the spa, which makes it even more frustrating that the situation was allowed to escalate as far as it did. For the price and reputation of a Marriott property, I expected a relaxing, well-managed spa environment where paying guests and their belongings would be respected and protected. Instead, a treatment that we had spent a significant amount of money on was overshadowed by an extremely chaotic locker room experience and a lack of intervention from spa staff. The facility itself has a lot of potential, but there needs to be much stronger management, enforcement of spa access, and staff training on when to intervene or involve security. This experience was incredibly disappointing."
