DurleyDean Review April 2025
The negatives- swimming pool is very small and not monitored properly with the amount of people using it and becomes unbearable. The hotel is very dated and in need of updating. The double beds are very small. Parking is a nightmare and you’re lucky to get a space and if you do it’s £15 a day. Stepped access on the bedroom floors even after using the lift.
The positives - bar food at the hotel is very nice, bar area is relaxing and dog friendly if needed, hotel is clean and tidy, breakfast is good value at £11.

Old, cold hotel.
The whole hotel was freezing. Our bathroom had no heating. The towels were thin and small. Parking was a nightmare. The coffee machine in the bar wasn’t working. Noisy in the corridors. The only positive was the staff were friendly but constantly apologizing.would not stay again.

Don’t stay here
Absolutely horrific hotel do not stay here!!
Bed sheets clearly hadn’t been changed they were stained with what looked like blood! The toilet seat was basically brown. Dust everywhere! Pillows are rock hard.
Paid extra for the better/bigger room didn’t even have a bath.
Emailed with a complaint shouldn’t have even bothered the owner is RUDE and accused us of basically causing the mess ourself and a reply of “It the same as eating a whole meal and then saying you didn’t like it and wanting it for free“
Don’t waste your money!

Big old hotel and we had a very nice room. Spa was disappointing as steam room not working (spa is important for us). 10 minute walk into town Centre which was great and we do love Bournemouth especially out of season. Overall very good value but do need all facilities to be available. We probably wouldn’t return as there are other options around but worth a go especially if spa not an important one for you.
