This property has good clean rooms at a pretty decent price. When we went this time, they had just installed new AC units, which is great but made the room smell like wet socks for much of our stay. It wasn't unbearable, and we were glad for the AC. We'll still go back.
The housekeepers wore masks improperly. One housekeeper had his mask on his chin every time I saw him. I had to buy sanitizer at the gas station to feel safe in my room. Also, I wasn’t able to get breakfast because there were a decent amount of people lounging in the kitchen until it closed.
Dead flies in the room, window, stuck to ceiling and 2 small clumps of hair on the sheets, yuk! Breakfast was embarrassing...coffee, milk, dry cereal, stale bread, 2 donuts, juice machine broken, at least the waffle maker worked for the kids. Disappointing, especially when we were looking forward to a pool, we should have called ahead, closed for renovations.
While the price was reduced booking through a travel company, we feel that the value of the hotel did not meet the price paid. Certain attractive amenities such as a pool and breakfast were not available due to covid, which is understandable, but those are still amenities factored into the price. The entry area of the hotel was clean and bright, but the hallway that our room was in was quite dingy, humid, stale smelling, and had quite a few moths and cobwebs. Our room was decently clean but also had cobwebs and lighting was insufficient. Super 8 signage was still on the back of the door to our room. The air conditioner was loud and did not allow a restful sleep, nor did the light coming from the hallway from around the door throughout the night. We stayed two nights, after our first night, the key card to our room stopped working at 11am (checkout time) though it was clear on our account that we were not checking out of the hotel that morning. If that is a normal daily occurrence, it would have been nice to know, but since it was a surprise, it was an annoying inconvenience. We felt that this is simply a conveniently located place to rest your head for one night, but was not worth even the reduced price that we paid through a travel company, it was honestly a bit of a disappointment. We decided that this was not a hotel that we would be staying at again.
Good place to hang your hat for the evening
Two night stay was all right. Some accommodations, i.e. breakfast and pool not available due to COVID-19. Clean, comfortable. Phone was not working in room.
Outside was older looking, inside was nicely remodeled.
The carpeting and bedding look to have been updated recently but the rest of the building needs a lot of work.
As we walked up to the building, the garbage was full. In the lobby, the tv had a bad picture. That first impression set the tone for our stay. Pool and hot tub were drained due to covid. The exercise room was closed but we probably wouldn’t have used it because the equipment was not in good shape. The website said there was take out breakfast since they couldn’t do their regular breakfast due to covid...there was nothing. One of the beds had a sheet that didn’t fit correctly. The pillows were very small and thin. There were dead bugs in the window frame. We only had three sets of towels for 4 guests...that turned out ok because there was no hot water to take a shower anyway. I asked for a credit for our inconvenience and was told the manager would call me the next morning and of course they didn’t.
This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. There was a stale rice smell when I first got to the room. Someone broke the fire alarm so that kept going off. Yelling by staff in the hallway at night. Fight in the parking lot. No hot water to shower with. No breakfast or coffee. Completely disappointed with this hotel.
