The room was nice and spacious and everything was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was recently fixed up and clean, but very average. Unfortunately almost all of the hotels in downtown Detroit are not very nice, unless you stay at a five star hotel. I wasn't aware of that going into it, so keep it in mind. I felt perfectly safe walking around during the day as a solo female traveler. At night, it was always busy in town so I'm sure it would be safe as well.

I came for a concert with my husband and our toddler. This place was great! The staff was so nice, I don't remember her name- I think Bri'Ana (please forgive me if I'm wrong!) She was at the desk the day we arrived, went to the concert and came back, she was awesome. Overall the room was comfortable, clean, I would come back here no hesitation.

Staff on site was great, from check-in to the restaurant staff. My only complaint is that I had emailed the front desk directly a week before our stay AND messaged them through hotels.com 3 days before our stay about potential for slightly early check in. They never responded and told me when I arrived that it would be $25, then also responded to the message at the same time through hotels.com. The hotel is in good shape, and it’s convenient to everything in the area.

Staff were friendly. The hotel itself was beat up. Our room, which had a view of the A/C units for the building, was not clean. Stained rug, dried blood on the headboard, cracks in the ceiling, and the Window A/C unit was very loud. Don’t plan on returning to Detroit but wouldn’t stay here again.
