The rooms are nicely remodeled. There is great character and charm to the entire property. Parking was limited and we had to park on street. Staff were very attentive to any needs we had and were prompt in helping us. Our room had double doors adjoining our room to the neighbors so we could hear conversations and their tv. The view of the ocean is nice and despite being on PCH traffic noise was minimal.

Loved this place! Very warm welcome upon checking in with super nice staff member. Beautiful room - clean, cozy bed, comfortable. Loved the beautiful tile work in the shower, great hot water with fabulous water pressure. Amazing smelling bath products. Loved the attention to detail and all of the hooks to hang up clothes in the room. Snacks in the room were a nice touch. Great, light breakfast. Only downside was we were in a connecting room and we could hear everything in the room next to us - not sure if this is an issue just with the connecting rooms.

Nice place, clean and comfortable. Hard to find the room since the number is obscure. The continental breakfast is pretty bad. A small muffin and an attendant that doesn't want to be there. It doesn’t take much to buy some cereal, pastries and fruit. And something to drink for people who don’t drink coffee.

Location and property itself was well maintained and offered nice touches such as a chiminea with comfortable furniture outside and music and well appointed dishes and in room coffee etc. The only disappointment was the “continental breakfast” which was coffee and a muffin. Luckily, the host that checked us in hinted as much and we picked up some fruit and yogurt from the grocery store to round out the morning meal.

My husband and I stayed this passed weekend and we just say we were so impressed with everything. From the minute we walked in the door the guy welcomed us right away with great dinner suggestions advised to let him know when we wanted our chimney turned out in the patio. We loved it and as locals this was a perfect get away because it felt cozy but the structure was beautiful we said we will be coming very often to just unwind.

If you’re like me and you prefer boutique hotels over big brands, this place delivers. Plenty of character adds to the appeal. Small room but the patio really extends your living space and was private. I was disappointed to learn that the restaurant/bar were not yet open under the new ownership. I probably would have booked it anyway for the charm and the location. Just up the beach from Dana Point and convenient to local coffee shops and stores within a mile.

A very charming hotel. Loved the location and the convenient parking next to the rooms. Especially loved the mattress and pillows, which were incredibly comfortable. Staff were also extremely polite and helpful. Only critiques would be to remove the custom frames around the TV so you can easily turn it on/off and change channels without standing right on top of it. We will be back!

Super cute hotel, kinda got a retro mid-century modern motel vibe. In this case Motel shouldn’t be in pretties as negative. The rooms are modern rent upgraded with plush finishes. The surrounds area is walkable with some cool eaters and bars within walking distance. My only negative is the noise between rooms. If you are quiet, you can hear the neighbors in the a joining rooms. If you had multiple rooms, the a joining rooms would be a great plus. The secluded patio, where available, is a really nice touch. The staff were warm and friendly. Felt like they had a stake in the business with their welcoming vibe Unless you are looking for a super quiet space, I’d recommend this hotel to anyone wanting special get away. We will be back in the next few months. I haven’t been impressed with a hotel for a while. Either too expensive, old and torn up, poor staff- this was impressive for the price. Very impressive.
