Cat ba is a super cool island. Our 2 nights, became 3 and then 4 nights. Fun, vibey and lots of action. Affordable massages and plenty of eating out options.

Cat Ba Town is bustling with activities targeted for cruisers. Had fun, but be cautious of scams.
"Many of the hotels in the area are old as this small bustling town of 12k people see 10k-20k tourists in the summer months per day.
This hotel had great location, friendly staff, great breakfast, and Cat Ba Ventures make it very convenient for me book tours around the area, as well as transportation to/from Hanoi."
"Rooms were filthy and smelly. There was half an inch of dust on the hanging lamp which was cleaned after mentioning it to the receptionist. Room service worker threw our blanket on the floor. Not a very welcoming atmosphere. "
