Clean modern hotel with some home comforts and up scale decor built in, excellent spa and pool on sight. Although reception was extreamly busy, plethora of Southampton cruise ship passengers checking in, a very warm welcome was extended, no rush or general hurry along attitude by the reception staff. Open bar and lounge area, with resturant on ground floor serving bar meals, similar dinner options and buffet styled breakfast. Large clean double bedded room with ensuite, adequate lighting and power points, usual tea and coffee making facilities. Will probably stay again when next in the area.

We were staying prior to embarking on a cruise. Helpful staff on check in, no lift and room on the 3rd floor. Staff helped with taking our suitcases up and down the stairs. Room quiet and spacious. Toilet flush only worked infrequently, room needed a freshen up chunks missing out of the wall and dodgy paint work. Only 1 pillow each

Absolutely lovely hotel, comfortable bed, friendly staff but the biggest downfall was the WiFi and the TV, very outdated, couldn't connect to the WiFi in the room or the garden and the TV was very basic, smart TVs need to be added and WiFi needs updating I had to sit by the door on the floor in my room to be able to use the wifi.

Stayed many time over many years and always a lovely stay and great value for money. Didnt see usual staff at desk who usually recognise me and always offer a very warm welcome but all Staff We did meet were excellent, Our rooms were clean and comfortable as always. Nice feel and ambiance around the hotel. My only observation this time would be the corridors to and along the rooms is looking a little tired compared to rest of hotel so hopefully on plan to upgrade in 2026/27. However, this didnt detract from our usual lovely stay.

Bathroom in Room 217 was full of long hairs Both quilt and pillows where of very poor quality provided no support or warmth. Breakfast was very mediocre. very poor/cheep quality sticky table and seats that are in desperate need of reupholstering with decent padding Ribena was served as a fruit juice. diabolical coffee and tea. The teabags where just in a bowl for anyone to touch and the dispenser for hot water/coffee again was a free for all with everyone’s dirty hands. no sign of a sanitiser. All in all not very good

We were firstly disappointed by the amount of time we were left at reception waiting to be checked in. Once we were greeted by the staff we made our way to the spa. The spa reception area was untidy with no water and bath salts spilt all over the floor. The changing rooms were disgusting, so untidy with so much disrepair. The spa area was not much better. After our spa we checked into our room and to be fair this was probably the best part, very spacious with good amenities. It is such ashame that this hotel is so run down. We will not be staying here again and would not recommend to our friends and family.
