Fantastic hotel and great breakfast. Very quaint with a cool speakeasy type bar downstairs and a great Italian restaurant next door. Loved everything about this hotel especially the rooms named after British authors. Our room was the author of Goldie Locks and the 3 Bears, but someone had taken the book! Can't wait to come back!

Arrive late and staff was very accommodating and friendly. Woke up the next morning and noticed how dirty the room was. Hair on the bathroom floor, dirty silverware between the bed and night table that was covered in a thick layer of dust that also surrounded the edge and underneath the beds. A new package of fake press on nails behind the television also covered by a thick layer of dust. Amazing breakfast pastry selection and baskets off fresh fruit throughout the lobby.

Disappointed. Stayed on a road trip from Texas to Illinois. Pool played a big part in choosing the property but was unavailable during our one night stay because they were working on the roof. Would have been nice if they offered a discounted rate because of that. Breakfast was not “English style”, just a buffet. Bathroom in room was smelly. The adjacent bar/restaurant and tavern in the hotel were enjoyable.
