Stayed in a suite with 3 of us and the sofabed was comfy! Lots of space for NYC, and convenient to all of our meetings. Everyone at the hotel is very nice and they brought new towels, a pillow, etc right away. I have stayed here many times and love this hotel.

Great spot to be close to everything and it's not that loud. Rooms are pretty big, beds are firm. Bathroom isn't that large, has step in shower. Staff are great. The gym really isn't a gym, think dumbbells go up to 25lbs. Metro is 3-5 mins away.

8/10 Very good

Older hotel but very well- maintained with a very helpful & courteous staff. The room was larger than expected and bathroom had everything I needed. Very convenient to Rockefeller Center, Lincoln Center, and Times Square. Walkable neighborhood. Good business center in 2nd floor. No complaints.

This was not our first time and we returning because the staff is friendly and helpful and makes you feel at home, the location is great and walkable everywhere, near you have markets, restaurants, bar and the most important things to visit are easy to reach. The only thing I would like is to have soundproofed windows in the future, NYC is a really NOISY city 24 hrs a day all days of the year

10/10 Exceptional

Excellent staff, location, and experience!! The room was spacious for NYC. It was clean and the service was amazing. Anything we requested was fulfilled quickly. The staff was so friendly, they even provided umbrellas on any days that forecasted rain. The location was centrally located for our needs and there are several market options with a block or two for groceries or snacks. The subway is a block away. It was so quiet in our room and the beds were very comfortable. A+++

6/10 Good

The San Carlos has been one of my favorites in NYC because of its great location, excellent staff and largely competitive pricing. All of those components remain, but the property itself and its public and private rooms are aging. The hotel needs a significant upgrade and renovation.
