The things one may complain are also associated with the age of this hotel, for example, the rooms mostly have the only window at the entrance side due to the old buiding design, and the kids may find it slightly boring due to the lack of fun facilities usually found in modern hotels, but who can pass the opportunity to live where legends like Charlie Chaplin once stayed?

We spent 4 nights at the Majapahit hotel and it was such a fantastic place to stay we found it hard to leave the hotel and explore Surabaya! The room was great (very spacious and well maintained given they are in a historical building). The grounds are stunning. The lobby has a fantastic cocktail bar and the high tea was excellent.

Very friendly staff, we were upgraded to a lovely suite which was very comfortable and much appreciated. Lovely heritage hotel from 1910. The room was tasteful and very clean, although the hotel grounds (pool) appear to need some investment and proper maintenance.
