Overall good stay. First room had noise issues because of the night club next door. Staff was flexible and helped us move to a quieter room. Bathroom is small. Pretty basic and no frills but was sufficient and worked well for our stay.

We only had about 24 hours in Malmo. The hotel was a relatively short walk from the Central Train Station and close to many interesting historic sights. Compared to our previous Hotel in Stockholm the room itself was HUGE. The staff we met were very friendly and helpful. We do not normally eat large breakfasts so we forgo the cost of the one at the hotel.

The perfect base.

First time in Malmo/Sweden and the hotel was a perfect base for my trip. Very central, a short walk from the Train station and with loads of bus options too. The hotel itself has loads of character, very friendly staff and plenty of breakfast options. During my visit the exterior restoration/renovation was still in progress, but when completed it will be ready for another 150 years of service. Along with Lila Torg there are a number of other places and the main shopping area on your doorstep.

Stayed here for a week on our trip in Malmo. Everyone we encountered working here was great. We had a slight issue with plumbing in shower but they fixed no problem so no big deal. The breakfast is excellent it’s not possible to leave there hungry. Very clean overall. We used the bike hotels many times and it was easy and great way to get around the city. WiFi is very good and water pressure is nice.

Not happy with the "upgrade"

I have been staying at this hotel a numerous times. It is a pretty decent hotel that is very close to "Lilla Torget" where you have several good resturants and bars. I had booked a double room ... But when I checked in I was told I was "upgraded" to a Family room. This was definatly not an upgrade. The Family room is very old and have not been refurbished for many years. So compared to the regular double rooms it was a lower quality and definatly not an upgrade. I checked with the reception... But they was fully booked and didnt know why I was "upgraded" to the family room. I will try to find another hotel in Malmø next time.

The stay was okay in general but I wouldn't recommend this for a business trip particularly. The check in is quite late (16h) and they couldn't offer a quiet common area to have a meeting before checking in. Early check in comes with an extra charge, which was inconvenient and not a standard practice in serious hotels. The room was clean but had no particularly interesting amenities, the TV had no option for smart TV and you just could watch 10 channels, not even a radio option.

Great location and nice hotel. They only do check in early by paying extra which is no problem if you can choose. However, when I came back to check in at the right time, they had only one person working and a dozen passenger waiting. Eventually a second person came in.
