Kyoto business base with festival flair

Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Shijo is a classy business hotel just south of Downtown Kyoto, set on calm alleyways that feel pleasantly removed from the main streets. The lobby channels Gion Matsuri energy with bold wooden slats, Kyoto-inspired walls, and goldfish artwork that begs for a quick photo. When it is time to reset, the large first-floor public bath brings festival-night atmosphere with lantern-lit details.

  • Dining with a Kyoto touch

Restaurant KOZUE serves a customizable Japanese-Western buffet breakfast.

  • Festival-night soak

The first-floor public bath glows with lanterns and traditional woven motifs.

  • Shop and stroll access

A short walk reaches Shijo-dori’s main shopping district and its dining scene.
