The town is quiet and shuts down early. Be sure to figure out your food situation before it gets too late. Great little grocery store in town and they have everything you can need.

Custer is a very quaint city. It has several nice restaurants and a lot of gift shops. Regardless of which hotel you stay at, everything can be walked to. It's a nice area to stay if you want to avoid all the hub bub of Keystone.

The park is the main attraction for us. We enjoy the wildlife and beauty of the area, more than the tourist traps like Mt Rushmore or Crazy Horse.

We wished there were more restaurants open during the week. But that may be a symptom of being a tourist town.
"Older property with small rooms but furnishings were new and attractive. Great location within walking distance of many top restaurants and bakeries in Custer SD. "
"Very well kept and excellent retro Motel, renovations take you back in time, stayed there 55 years ago and was excited to stay again, recommend this place and we will stay again. "
"AMAZING! The best part of our week long road trip was the time spent here! So friendly. So clean. Everything is just perfectly planned out. So much for the kids to do and so much to do as a family. The less than ideal weather didn’t slow the fun with so many options to pick from! Cookie time was the cherry on top! I will be telling every parent friend about this gem!"
