The stunning surroundings are matched by the dedication of the staff, especially Moeka, who was exceptionally personable and professional. Her service made my stay unforgettable. "Quiet cultural experience. We were the only foreigners we could see. Beautiful property, view and area. Not a lot of places to visit but enough for 1-2 days. FYI This property is not at the Nikko city but the Nikko area. Large buffet and free drinks.
Beds on the floor and daughter was really on the floor but all part of experience. If you want a quiet experience away from the city then this is great- even better with small children as has a pool park next door. "

"The staff were friendly and tried their best to speak English- the food was good. The view from the room was good.
In places the property condition was not good.
1. In my room at the bottom of the window had many dead insects.
2 In one of the spas on the walls the paint seemed to have gone black in places.

there was a blue sheet up to cover a broken balcony floor and fence.
The fence was broken, and there was a rope up to stop people going near the fence.

The onsen offered 2 small hot baths covered and open to outdoors. Breakfast was amazing, offering Japanese and American style cuisine. Had difficult time finding restaurants for dinner, not many choices and they fill up early. Walkable to most sights. "

"The hotel was recently renovated but unfortunately there was an unpleasant odor throughout the facility… robot waiters are not necessary… money might be better spent freshening the rooms so that they don’t smell bad. "
