Room was dated (as was rest of hotel decor) and the floor was dirty- not "5-Star". Lovely balcony. Air conditioning not working - reported to desk (1st report). "Beautiful location and stunning building, only ourselves and the owners there on our two night stay. Lovely staff. Friendly owners. Unfortunately the room was pretty tired and bathroom needed a good overall. Old marked shower enclosure. Crumbling walls round the shower unit. Shower coming away from wall and mould round taps. "We arrived around 8PM straight off a set of flights from SFO and were exhausted. We were welcomed into the bar, a beautiful, cozy room, given food and drink, and checked in there, since reception had closed. We ended up spending a couple hours chatting with another couple, the place promotes making friends.
