Learn more about Jefferson

Jefferson is well-known for its attractions such as Santiam River and North Santiam River.

The weather in the Willamette Valley of Oregon had been less than ideal for eclipse viewing for a few days, thick clouds were rolling in in the mornings and haze from wildfires took up the skies in the afternoon. Luckily, the gods heard our prayers and we had clear blue skies in the morning on Eclipse Day. Seeing the sky go dark and stars that we'd only see in the winter was an experience of a lifetime. I had been planning for this eclipse for well over a year so I was very glad that everything went well
