Belle Époque glamour on Praça dos Restauradores

Glittering neoclassical public rooms set the tone, with gilt accents, crystal chandeliers, and polished marble that keep the Belle Époque spirit alive. Days drift between a cozy English-style bar and tranquil rooms dressed in light colors, antiques, and old-master prints. For a signature ritual, The Palace Afternoon Tea brings mini sandwiches, scones, pastries, and a deep tea list to the elegant Palace Room.

An old building full of character this is certainly an interesting place to stay. The furniture in the rooms could certainly do with an update but the hotel is very well placed for exploring Lisbon and the buffet breakfast is one of the best we’ve had. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.
