I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Katla. The rooms were nice and clean, the property was in a beautiful location, and it served as a perfect base for touring southern Iceland. The breakfast was included and offered different options that were all delicious. The staff were friendly as well. The hot tub was nice, however it did get a little crowded at times. Overall, I would recommend Hotel Katla and would stay there again.

This hotel was very conveniently located, just a few minutes drive from the supermarket, restaurants, etc. Also, the rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast is pretty good and the restaurant -for dinner- was great too. We also had to stay an extra night -and stay in a full day- because of a snow storm and we felt secure.

Great property located just outside of town. The breakfast was amazing! The only draw back was that there was a large high school group on a trip that took over the hot tub and sauna during both nights of our stay making it a less than desirable way to spend our anniversary; yet not the fault of the hotel or staff.
