Downtown base with Icelandic soak time

The Reykjavik Konsulat Hotel brings a warm, quirky mood to a polished, restored 1900s department store, mixing plush furnishings, varied textiles, and pops of color. Days start with the Konsulat Quality Breakfast in the Konsulat Dining Room, and evenings can wind down in the hotel’s unique bathhouse with a hot tub, sauna, and relaxation area set against an original 19th-century stone wall.

  • Icelandic bathhouse ritual

Soak in the hot tub, then hit the sauna and relaxation area by a stone wall.

  • Dining with a chef-led twist

Book The Consul dinner experience for a curated multi-course meal by the chefs.

  • Downtown at its most walkable

Adjacent to Laugavegur and a block from the waterfront for easy exploring.

Spilt our stay between here and another “five star” hotel. Thought this hotel was just as nice and half the cost! The room was very nice, comfortable and a great location! Felt it was a little on the small size but not an issue. Everything was very clean and like most everyone in Iceland, super friendly staff! Would definitely recommend and would stay again! Loved our stay!
