just perfect
this was just a. absolutely wonderful hotel! staff was great, room was amazing, bed was super comfortable, the free breakfast was huge, the location was walkable to so much. the televisions were having some connection problems during our one night stay, but no big deal to me. rooms don't have individual thermostat as in the states but when you draw the curtain to keep out cold and get snuggled in blanket it's fine!

Needs maintenance
It was OK after all but will never go back to this location again. The building and the rooms were old and needed major updates. Room was small and bathroom/shower cramped in one tiny space was interesting. Almost had the hostel feel to this hotel. Breakfast was good though, staff was nice and helpful.

Good Value, Central Location
Our flight arrived in Keflavik at 6;35 A.M. After 45 minutes trip to Reykjavik, we arrived at the hotel at about 8:30 A.M. with the intention of merely leaving our luggage and come back later as it was too early for check in. to our surprise, Cvava at front desk checked us in and motioned us to the breakfast room. It was very much appreciated as, having just arrived, we did not know the places to eat in the city. Reykjavik being expensive, the free breakfast is a very good value. the breakfast is sumptuous, consisting of hot entrees, different kinds of cheese, fruits, and you can make your own pancake. After a 2-night stay, we checked out very early at 4:30 for the bus pick up to take us back to the airport. Magdalena, the night front desk, handed us sandwiches and invited us to partake of the free coffee brewing in the breakfast room. Some reviews may mention the water that smells like sulfur. This comes from the city's geothermal water supply, Iceland being volcanic; therefore, all hotels must have the same smelly water. But once you dry yourself, the smell goes awa pretty quick. The staff are all very nice and helpful. If ever we go back to Iceland, will definitely stay at this hotel.

Very walkable city
good stay, basic hotel nothing fancy. Only issue we had was that the walls were paper thin so you could hear everything. Maid was cleaning rooms in the morning and the doors to the rooms would slam shut and it kept us up. If you like to sleep, i would book somewhere else.
