The position is good in as much as it is quiet but it's a 10 minute walk to a reasonable selection of shops and perhaps 20 minutes to town. It’s on a “steep” hill and about 3.5 kilometers to Lake Kandy—-a good distance for walking exercise. This is probably my most favorite and the best budget hotel I had stayed in. Strongly recommend it."

"We had a short stopover at Blue Mountain. The view was fantastic! The hotel invested in good quality fixtures: the rooms are spacious, the pool and garden terrace very nice and the bathroom with a view worth it. It’s overall comfortable and clean. Food served was also good and staff was attentive to our needs. I would rank Blue Moutain higher than most accommodations in Sri Lanka, and it would need just a bit more efficiency and attention to details to qualify for high-end. "
