10/10 Exceptional

Our short stay was exactly what we needed, and the hospitality was warm and practical without being fussy. Comfy bed, space in the room, cosy sofa and adjustable heating were much appreciated. Some of the facilities were a little ‘tired’ but the owners are clearly working their way through the hotel to get things more up to date. We look forward to a chance to stay again in the lovely setting and enjoy a few days there again.

Room was lovely, comfortable…great jacuzzi bath
Verified review

6/10 Good

The room was quite small and there were not many surfaces to work on, no bedside cabinets on which to place your books and clocks. The breakfast was amazing but the bar food not so great. The staff were incredibly helpful especially in providing a route out of Peaslake which did not involve lanes hardly wider than a single car and no passing places. The main route into Peaslake was closed and the diversion took you along tiny lanes.

I couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough! The room was large and perfect for a family of 4. We loved the jet bath! Lovely amenities in the room, fluffy towels, and extras of anything you might need available in a communal area. The breakfast was exceptional and the staff were very friendly.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay in a pretty village. Hotel room was very bright, comfortable beds with clean linen, bathroom was spotless. We had a friendly greeting at reception, the host was very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area, nothing was too much trouble.
