Beautiful architecture in the common areas. The rooms have a very interesting design. However, they could use a few updates. Definitely would stay again.

Absolutely beautiful lobby with nice places to work or hang out. Cool, quirky room decor, but clean, comfy, and spacious. Only downside is no sundry shop or vending machines, but otherwise and overall, wonderful.

Clean and unigue. Love the history of this hotel and the location downtown. Staff was nice. Used the hotels parking garage which was easy. Visited our niece attending RISD and it was walkable. Would stay here again if in the area.

I just loved staying in this hotel. It was charming, friendly and perfectly located in downtown Providence. I had stayed there almost 45 years ago and I was not disappointed in my return. As my grandson is in college in RI I will definitely return. JF

4/10 Fair

The room and staff were great. Unfortunately the street noise at night is unbearable: screaming and yelling, vehicles driving by with bass bumping and motorcycle street take-overs where engines are revved until the wee hours. Also, police cars drive by chirping their sirens periodically to disperse revelers and the homeless. Its a great old property, but I can't recommend it to anyone wanting to get a good night's rest.

Room clean however checking in was 1.5 hours late due to room not ready. This resulted in being late for appointment. Spoke to mgr and got me a small room which was not what I saw on line. No compensation. Not even a parking discount. Charged $47. Staff were courteous and apologized.
