Convenient friendly Newport hotel.
Great location. Convenient to restaurants and sightseeing. Free kayaks and bikes. Passes to one of the mansions. Beds very comfortable. Unfortunately the refrigerator broke and we lost some food, a lamp was broken and a sink was stopped up. Management needs to be on top of maintenance.

Great location inthe heart of Newport on the harbor. Property is very dated and in serious need of updating. Room was small but clean. Mattresses did not offer much back support. The street noise was very annoying and the $650 price tag was astonishing-staff were pleasant and helpful but all things considered ridiculously over priced

Overall a good experience
The location is terrific! It's a waterfront property (it is at a marina, after all), and it's in the center of restaurants, shopping and night life. The transportation center is a short walk away if you chose to take the trolley to see other parts of Newport. The front desk was great, although we didn't need them for much after check-in. Service is the only bit of a negative, and it wasn't a huge negative: we stayed four nights, and the room was never made up before 5pm, and the outdoor restaurant seemed to be understaffed a tad during the breakfast hours, but neither of these were huge problems. We had a water-view room, which was great, and the room was adequate, nothing out of the ordinary. Overall, it was a good experience.

Great stay at the Newport Hotel & Marina
Excellent - first class everything! Bed was extremely comfortable, room was very clean with extra towels and all. The breakfast buffet was good, quality food. The hotel greeted us with wine and cold water - the perfect greeting! The best part was the view - this hotel is right downtown, with walking distance to everything we wanted to do. The harbor view was a real bonus!
