Worst Place to stay. Do not go to this place.
Most likely the worst place I have been to: They make it look like a hotel but it isn’t. I checked in and left 20 minutes later. I was charged for the room and never refunded. It is a scam. Hotels .com usually provides great service and I continue to use them a lot. However I told them that they should not be listing this hotel. Definitely do not use the Avalon. Dirty walls sheet bathroom. Etc…

Was ok but wouldn't stay again.
It wasn't my favourite hotel. I didn't get much sleep due to the noise from the guests above me. The floors are a material that allows you to hear every step/stop. This began at 7am and happened all evening as well. There is a squeaking sound that happens every couple of minutes in the hallway somewhere. It sometimes sounds like rubber shoes on a gym floor and other times almost like a smoke detector dead battery beep. The a/c machine is really irritating as well due to its rattling and its complicated to turn off. It also blows directly onto the bed which I don't like. They only provide instant coffee which is appalling for a so called 4 star hotel. I agree with the google listing, this really a high end 3 star. I am not interested in buying coffee from your café, it should be provided in the room. They do provide water which is nice. The bathroom is split into two rooms where the sink is in one and the toilet and shower are in the other. This is so bizarre and inconvenient. Also, there are individual blinds for each window. You have to manually closed 6 or 7 blinds at night and the same to open. Who came up with this stupid idea??? The breakfast is ok but the eggs were always severely overcooked and they have no options for toast toppings except homemade apricot jam. What hotel doesn't have peanut butter? The bacon and bread were good quality. And finally, the decor. Not a fan of the outdated industrial look with your rotary phone and record player. It was clean

Great hotel option!
We enjoyed our stay at Anndore House and will definitely stay again! We were impressed with the cleanliness and style of our room. The shower was the best I’ve ever had at a hotel with a decent-sized shower head and great water pressure. We also enjoyed the amenities nearby including having a drink down at the bar, TTC just 5 minutes away, and Eataly the same walking distance. And all of this with a reasonable nightly price, especially in comparison to other Toronto hotels. You are not in bustling downtown or one of the other popular areas of Toronto, but they are reachable by transit or a 30 minute walk to the Eatons Centre. I would recommend bringing your eye mask, ear plugs and noise maker if you are a light sleeper, just as you would for any hotel in a bustling city. The staff were also very welcoming!
