The room was disgusting. Room clearly hasn’t been cleaned including the bedsheets. The staff were miserable. The lock on our room door wasn’t secure (someone had clearly tried to ethier break into the room previously or struggled to get into the room). Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone even though it is cheap

Terrible. They do not clean the place. The room is can not be opened by the key and the place smells like a public toilet. The staff are always drunk and are theives. They only speak chinese.

If you are after the cheapest room in Melbourne City, then this is the hostel for you. The single room was basic, but fine for the price. Very convenient with a tram outside on Elizabeth St. The kitchen, toilets and bathrooms were filthy, so wear shoes inside these areas.

Good location for I wanted. Nothing fancy basic. Have stayed there in the past. Would stay there again.

Curtains broken, smelled of stale cigarettes, near broken lock on room door. Generally gross and disgusting apart from the bathrooms which were clean. Do not stay here, mostly booked for longterm for homeless people. Recent bedbugs in reviews I wouldn't risk it.

Location is great, but the receptionist wouldn't offer you anything unless you ask: towel, cutlery, plate & cup. My room, with its window facing the fire exit area was noisy on some early mornings because of rubbish trucks picking up rubbish containers, cleaners dumping rubbish bags running up and down the fire exit stairs. I also was awakened by sound of vacuuming and shouting past midnight. Though the kitchen was clean, it had only one kitchen knife and one peeler, sometimes one plate or one bowl, no cups. I believe was bitten by bed bugs, as I have no alternative explanation for the itchy bites I got on the 1st night and was progressively getting more every night.

While I knew this was a very cheap option, my stay would have been a lot better if the place wasn’t filled with cigarette smoke - the smell of cigarettes and weed was so strong in the room it woke me up, I’m an ex smoker myself so don’t have an issue with smoke, but it was so strong and there weren’t any windows to open to air it out - plus there was a guy in one of the rooms just shouting all night. Appreciate it’s a cheap option, which the room reflects that but the smoke was too much
