Paid for 6 night, stayed only 3
We were not satisfied with the stubborn manager, and we think this hostel's policy have to be more flexible and work harder to find out solutions when they crashed bookings. We had an accident and our passport and money was stolen by thief in Giroa. So we have to go to Madrid to find an Embassy and make a new passport. So we told the reception that we would leave the key just in case we can't get back before checkout. The reception supports our decision and welcome us to come back anytime within the booked slot. Then when we came back from Madrid the room was rent by someone else. The hotel checked us out when we told them we were going to Madrid, and cancelled the rest of my booking, despite I paid for the whole 7 day period. And we have to struggle late at night until 4am to find somewhere else to stay. The hostel suggested a nearby option for us but that place was extremely horrible, so never trust the substitute they offer. Their policy (mainly the decision by their manager), was straight and stubborn. 1. We suggested to make a refund to our room before going to Madrid, but the staff refused to do so, insisting the booking is non refundable and the room is sticked to us for the period. Although they regretted by checking us out. 2. Their manager show absolutely no interest in helping customer in emergency situation (i.e. no passport, no money and no where to go), and not taking responsibility by providing minimal care for customers when the hostel was wrong.

Heart of Las Rambles and close to everything!
It was close to everything including the port that we would catch our cruise. This is the first time I stayed in a Hostel. Very small (think 8x10ft with sink) room and shared bathrooms but both especially the bathrooms and common areas, were very clean. Hard to find as I had to ask directions many times from various people and therefore we passed it a few times. The 1st floor was worn down (front door sounds like you break it) but the actual Hostel (3rd floor) was nice. Very close to the harbor, Gothic area, St. Joseph La Boqueri (we ate there often), and Beaches. Metro is about 5 minutes away and close. Now that we got use to a Hostel experience, I would stay again because of the location and cleanliness. AC worked well. They have rooms that can handle families. Travel Tip: (1) Take the Airport bus to the very last stop which is Placa De Catalunya. Go across the plaza to Las Ramblas street. Go about 15 minutes towards the water (south). You will pass the police station and it should be the next block on your right, about three addresses from the corner (on the left of the street). If you take the train, you need to take the Orange line from the Airport, transfer to the Blue line at (Europa Fira), and then Transfer to the Green line at (Espanya). Then get off at Liceu. Go up the stairs and head left about a block. If you pass the police station, you went too far. (2) The Metro can take you anywhere you want to go. Purchase the passes for the time you will be there.

Very Small Hostel. NO AC
It is a very small Hostel with No AC. The Hostel is on the second floor of a building. The sign to the Hostel is the size of a piece of paper located on a side wall to the entrance. Very hard to find The building has no AC and you take a small rickety elevator to get up there. If your party has more than 2 people, it will splitting into multiple groups when you have your luggage. The place is nice once you are inside and the help is very pleasant but you don't get a lot for your money. Was there on a summer night and it was hot. Opening the windows and turning the fans on in the room did not help. I had sweat dripping from me while I was trying to sleep.

A lesson learn .....
I booked it one day to early (got confused with time zone changes) and the hotel was not able to assist me. They said I cannot get a partial refund and that they were too busy to assist me. They told me to look elsewhere. A lesson learned, never pre-pay even if it is cheaper because you cannot get a refund nor would the hotel help. I was able to find hotel accommodations down the block. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Also, the hotel room was cheaper than what I paid for at this hostel. You can never tell what the future lies ahead.

Close to main attractions & great staff
Ok, if you want to stay in a 5* hotel, it won’t be your cup of tea, but if you want a reasonable hotel to crash at night after an active day outside, then this is a great base. Most importantly, it’s spotless and the staff is friendly and helpful. We stayed in the new part of the hotel and the bathroom was new modern and clean and the room was nice too - definitely not your usual hostel!!! For a quick weekend away, I I would recommend it. Thank you Boris (who was very friendly & helpful)! :)
