Great Stay in La Malbaie

This was the perfect location for a visit to La Malbaie. Overlooking the Bay and walking distance to excellent restaurants and an amazing Art Gallery. Very quiet even though a main route was down the hill. Main floor room had a sliding door onto a sitting area.

Great motel with extra care from the owners

Great find! Small motel with a great view. Be aware that the motel is on a very busy street. Sitting outside or keeping the patio door open will be noisy. The extras available at reception were definitely a plus for us. You can access reception at any time to get extra towels or coffee pods, but also to borrow a toaster, a kettle, cuttlery, dishes, etc. There's a real freezer in the fridge of the hotel room, and ice cubes already available. Small things when you think about it, but it needed someone with an extra care to think about them.

Location was good, room was ok but furniture very, uncomfortable, bathroom very dark. Staff was non existent from late afternoon until morning, only left a phone number if there was a problem. Found the room rate high for amenities received compared to other properties on our trip.

Clean and Spacious

The room was very spacious and clean for our family of 4. Check-in was easy. Easy to get extra towels and coffee pods, plus on site ice machine. Walking distance to convenient store and restaurants. Would highly recommend! *The place is advertised as pet free but pets are welcome for an extra fee.

Motel avec très belle vue

De passage pour une nuit, nous avons apprécié la situation de l'hôtel, avec une place de parking pour la chambre. Plusieurs restaurants dans une jolie rue à moins de 10 minutes à pieds. Côté chambre, celle ci est spacieuse, bien équipée permettant de prendre le petit déjeuner et la literie confortable.

The property has a great view. They charged us without a check in. When we had to return home unexpectedly on the second day, they would not refund the third. I understand that they would not refund the second, as we did not let them know until 1pm, and that was after the checkout time. But their policy said 24 hour notice for cancellation, and we were letting them know more than that. Very disappointing and bad business. We will not return or recommend the property to anyone.
