This place is amazing, gorgeous and very clean. We basically had our own little house and we were in the movie gallery room. Absolutely wonderful and brings you back into time. Very tastefully decorated. Everything was very comfortable and welcoming! The added bonus for us was the friendly tail less cat! Omg! I would bring her home in a heartbeat!

The proprietor, Ed, took pride in the establishment. There was time taken and attention to detail in the room, as well as the outside of the Inn, being decorated for Christmas. The room was clean and very accommodating. The Inn was in walking distance to dining, shops, and the train depot. I would definitely stay at Calhoun Inn & Suites again and highly recommend it to those travelling to that area, or for those looking for a weekend get-a-way.

You will not find a better place to stay near Bryson city. This stay was an absolute joy. Ed & his wife have put so much love into this space and the experience they curate. Upon arriving we were greeted by Eva, the friendly neighbor cat who came and said hi to us on the back balcony. Followed by a very nice convo with Ed - when he explained to us the best things to see in Great Smoky National park. Having these recommendations saved us lots of time the next day. We only wish we had more time to stay and enjoy the treehouse. 10 stars! We walked to dinner downtown in Bryson city - Native brews. Great food. Extremely comfy beds! Well appointed kitchen! Just could not have been better! High quality interior decorating. You can tell have made it the way they would want it to be for themselves. Would love to come stay again!

Step back 105 years and sink yourself into a time of relaxation and small town charm. The Calhoun House has all the modern comforts but a real yester-year feel. Ed is a great historian and host and makes you feel at home, and we did.....stayed an extra unplanned night too!
