Overall a really good 1 night stay, hotel is modern but cozy and room was nice and clean with comfy bed and generous sized bathroom. The buffet breakfast was really nice, although the service seemed a little frantic. Had dinner in the restaurant too, although this was perhaps a little overpriced for the quality of what we had. Had a drink in the bar after returning at night however they said they were no longer serving pints or cocktails which seemed odd. Great location if you are attending an event at the arena, and relatively cheap parking available right next to hotel.

Room was very clean. We had a queen bed with sofa bed for our daughter. We had to ask for the sofa bed to be made up as it seemed to have been forgotten about. It was done for us coming back to the room after dinner so not really an issue. Pillows were terrible however. TV needs to be replaced or repaired as the screen kept turning green. Staff were excellent especially in the restaurant where it was extremely busy but staff made were still very attentive. Bar was excellent also.

I booked this hotel as we went to the North East Dog festival to compete in one of the dog shows and this was the only hotel that allowed dogs. Absolutely wonderful staff and lovely to our dog. They didnt have their usual dog bowls due an order issue but provided alternatives. We could sit for breakfast in a designated area with our dog which was very helpful. They were fab would highly reccomend

Location is excellent. Amenities are great. Unfortunately some downsides. Room looks aesthetically pleasing however cleanliness is not 4 star. Our bathroom door couldn’t close as the doorframe was rotten and falling apart. Dressing table had burn marks. Bathroom tap had build up of scum. Sink also did not drain and filled with dirty water. Breakfast was lovely however food was not replenished and condiments weren’t refilled. Cups at table were dirty and finished plates were not cleared. Staff were accommodating when asked but otherwise poor service for price of the hotel.

Myself and my partner have been to this hotel before last year and absolutely loved it! It’s such a beautiful hotel and the pool and gym is a great bonus! There’s a sauna and hot tub in the pool, it’s extremely clean and very relaxing. The rooms are gorgeous and very clean. The hotel is is a 5 minute walk from the train station, 8min Uber to the Metrocentre, and minutes away from the high street packed with shops, cafes, restaurants etc. my partner and I travel a lot for weekend trips around the uk and this hotel is by far our favourite! Our second time staying here, and most definitely won’t be our last! Can’t recommend this hotel enough!!!!
