Breakfast excellent. Car park is now quite a walk from the main entrance so bring an umbrella in case of rain. Breakfast really good. My bathroom fan wasn't working well and there was damp on the ceiling. They let me in early which I am very grateful for.

Unexpected

Very friendly casual type of hotel with many visitors attending a conference . Breakfast was outstanding and eaten on wooden tables in a panelled hall. Rooms well equipped and clean. Good value for money.

Amazing location!

The most beautiful building and surroundings- excellent service at reception and during whole stay - breakfast was fresh and hot and served in the historic dining room. We enjoyed a lovely walk round the grounds and gardens which were lovely!

6/10 Good

Great, responsive staff

Staff are lovely and responsive. Breakfast is great, as is the price. I reported a slow-draining shower after the first day, which was promptly resolved but housekeeping forgot to come that day. Funny smell in the room (fusty).

8/10 Very good

A very nice and old hotel... looks like an old manor house. Lovely garden surrounding it. Rooms are okay, old as one would expect. Cleaning could hv done a bit better and there was no water pressure on the shower at times.
Sander, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

As a B&B this is a good option. Lovely grounds and a great breakfast. It was not as quiet as I was expecting and there isn't much to do so less suitable for those travelling alone

Felt special

Amazing hotel. Beautiful grounds. Staff were warm and welcoming. Room was in turret and was like a normal hotel room. It does not match exterior but still had a lovely stay. Breakfast was good, well cooked. I was so glad we stayed here. Lots of history on show. Would recommend and stay again. A short distant drive to centre about 8 mins but not a problem and the venue was worth the distance.
Jennifer, 2-night trip

Estate is gorgeous, staff super nice, rooms are clean but are very simple.

Really enjoyed this stay, great to stay in such a rural area. Gardens are amazing, accomodation if basic but everything that we needed. Having some bar meals and drinks on site was very helpful. Breakfast was substantial.
