Reno Hotels

Reno is a large, electrifying, and neon-washed city set in the golden state of Nevada, near to the shimmering waters of Lake Tahoe and bordered by the rolling Sierra Nevada Mountains. Reno boasts a flashy, energetic nightlife full of ritzy bars, bouncing clubs, and indulgent casinos. But Reno’s not all about lavish entertainment - the city is home to plenty of inspirational museums, stellar galleries, and performing arts centers. Outdoor enthusiasts will also go wild for the nearby parks.

Things to see

Arriving in Reno, the first thing you notice is its glitzy glistening hotels and kingly resorts - but bubbling beneath that surface the city boasts plenty of cultural depth. Visit the Nevada Museum of Art, a contemporary thematic museum based in a modern smooth-curved building. See inspirational photography and surreal paintings that focus on the thoughtful theme of altered landscapes. After, head to the National Automobile Museum, a weird and wonderful collection of over 220 old-world automobiles ranging from clunky gold-colored machines to sleek 50s sports cars. In the afternoon, nature-lovers should explore one of Reno’s adjacent green-washed parks. For an easy-going hike through raw and rocky desert-land, head to Huffaker Park. Serious outdoorsy types, meanwhile, should make a trip to the lush eden-like Lake Tahoe State Park. In the evenings, either try your luck at the tempting Atlantis Casino, or catch a show at the Pioneer Center for Performing Arts.

Where to stay

Reno’s Downtown area isn’t just the nightlife and entertainment core, but it’s the center of the city’s thriving artistic and cultural scene too. Stay in this area for round-the-clock energy and excitement. During the days, visit museums and galleries, or splurge in the independent boutiques. At night, explore the rich range of eclectic restaurants, and take a spin in the classic casinos. For an area that benefits from easy access to Downtown’s activities but offers a quieter setting, stay slightly north near the leafy Nevada University Campus, at the edge of the idyllic Rancho San Rafael Park.

Reno is easily reached by air, with the Reno-Tahoe International Airport based just 5 miles from Downtown.
