Mattresses were old and uncomfortable (springs digging into you). Floor had a massive dip in the middle and the smell of cigarette smoke from the beer garden seeped through the closed window, blind and curtains into the room. Not an ideal place for children

Great location in the centre of Chepstow. Staff were really friendly on arrival and the whole place looked spotlessly clean.
However, I’m not sure which bit of the room was soundproof- at 3am I was woken by a guest in the next room, chatting about his friends’ sexuality… to himself! At 0530 I was awake again by people in the creakiest corridor known to man, after which I couldn’t sleep due to noise of other guests leaving… it all sounded as if they were in the room with us! Just after 0930, housekeeping was knocking the door, to check we were in there apparently!!
I loved the place… but rooms are definitely NOT soundproof, and I need my sleep!!
