Nice place to stay

Refreshing hostel. Finally a hostel that isn't trying to get as much money from it's guests as possible. Free wifi, free breakfast that includes toast, butter, jam, cereal and milk. Pool table in the back. Friendly staff, clean common rooms. Close to the supermarkets and a couple blocks from the town center. Only negative was there wasn't much of a social atmosphere, but i was there during low season.

My stay at Turtlecove Accommodation was very comfortable, and I would highly recommend it to travelers passing through Whitianga. It is located within walking distance of the town centre, two grocery stores, and a number of lovely beaches. The staff members were extremely helpful and the facilities were kept very clean. The rooms were tidy and well ventilated and the common areas were spacious.

Great stay aside from loud guests

The accommodation was nice and exactly what expected from a backpackers hotel. The kitchen was nice and clean. Very rowdy guests were staying when we stayed and made us feel unsafe during the night. They were up until about 2-3am and got into a fight with other guests. Other than the guests, a very comfortable stay & would recommend. Very close to the beach and shops and safe neighborhood.

Quiet place to relax

We only stayed one night, but it was a great place to relax after travels around the Coromandel with some peace and quiet. Has everything you need. Great value for money if you're not wanting to spend too much on accommodation.

Coromandel stay

This was our first experience of a backpacker's hostel and we didn't know what to expect. We were more than happy with tbe room and the facilities were clean and nearby. We were probably the oldest couple on the site but this won't put us off 'backpacking' again as everybody was really friendly and helpful.

Accessible, affordable and comfortable

Stayed here for a weekend while visiting Whitianga - all of the main attractions are a bus/ferry/walk away, and there are plenty of good food places nearby. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the room was clean (we stayed in an ensuite double room). Overall, a very positive experience and would definitely stay here again.

Turtle Cove Is Cozy

Turtle Cove is a Backpacker or Hostel. We had a room with twin beds, which we knew about before we booked. Our hosts were very helpful even lending us shovels for digging at the Hot Water Beach. Breakfast of cereal, toast, coffee and fruit was substantial. We particularly enjoyed meeting other travelers. We could not have had a better location. So happy we stayed there.
