We were doing family research and learned so much history about the town & surrounding area. Great walking tours and river tours provide you with a lot of knowledge in a short period of time. There's so much to do and see so we will be going back!

Cathedral superb - also the guides. Very disappointing that the other two world heritage UNESCO sites were closed - and not because of season. The Canterbury Tales Museum also closed. Canterbury a beautiful City that feels it needs a face-lift!

I live in Canterbury and its one of the best cities that I've been in, in the UK. It's got history, architecture, theatre, music, pubs, greenery and plenty of child friendly play areas! Certainly worth a weekend visit or even a day trip!

Excellent place to visit with younger kids - the riverside parks are lovely and the size of the town makes it explorable and adventurous without it being too big. Tons of great charity shops to explore, and of course amazing history.

Cathedral is awe inspiring. City has many architectural gems with pleasant riverside walks. Numerous eating establishments and excellent pubs. However, remember this is a university city and evenings can be quite noisy.

Canterbury is picturesque and fun to walk around. Dining options are many and varied. We enjoyed going to Evensong at the Cathedral. (5:30 pm every evening except Thursday, I believe)

Great food options, but be prepared to drop cash if you want to do the touristy things - £11 to get into the Cathedral and £12 to see the Abbey..

A lovely location in central Kent, we used it for an anniversary weekend to see Canterbury and also the surrounding coastal areas which was easy to do by bus and train which we preferred rather than driving.

"Amazing hotel, staff couldn’t be anymore friendly or helpful. Their restaurant serves incredible food, perfect stay for my daughter’s graduation highly recommended "
"Would happily stay at this property again even if just for the incredible view of Canterbury Cathedral! Special mention to Rob who was incredibly friendly and welcoming!"
"Lovely place. Good location. We were there for a wake following a cremation, and then an overnight stay. The staff were lovely and the food prepared for the wake and breakfast was very good. At a difficult time it was something at least we did not have to worry about. "
"Couldn't fault the staff who went above and beyond our requirements. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent ground floor accessible room.
First class breakfast included. Evening happy hour was appreciated and enjoyed.
Hotel itself is attractive and welcoming."
