The Arena and Banner Island Ballpark offer entertainment options year-round. Dining spots range from casual lunch places to diverse ethnic restaurants reflecting the Central Valley's multicultural heritage. Most attractions sit within comfortable walking distance, though San Joaquin RTD buses and the nearby Amtrak station connect travelers to broader destinations.

Small ornamental lakes dot the landscape while paved walking trails wind through manicured grounds perfect for morning jogs or sunset strolls. The country club serves as the social heart of this peaceful enclave, offering dining and golf without the typical tourist crowds. Accommodations lean luxurious with high-end vacation rentals and elegant bed & breakfasts featuring premium amenities. The neighborhood's Mediterranean-style homes and tree-lined streets create a resort-like atmosphere for travelers seeking quiet luxury.

University
University District blends academic energy with residential charm around the University of the Pacific campus. Catch a performance at the Brubeck Institute or wander through Gothic Revival architecture and manicured quads. Food options cater to student budgets with casual eateries and coffee shops. Most visitors stay in converted Victorian bed & breakfasts or boutique inns near campus. Though public transit is limited, the area is highly walkable with tree-lined streets perfect for exploring the collegiate atmosphere.

Spanos Park

Golf enthusiasts can tee off at The Reserve's championship 18-hole course, complete with rolling fairways and scenic water features. The peaceful residential atmosphere makes it perfect for travelers seeking a quiet retreat from Stockton's busier districts. Getting around requires a car, as public transit is limited in this residential haven. While dining options are sparse within the neighborhood itself, the golf clubhouse offers upscale American fare. Modern vacation rental homes provide comfortable accommodations with private yards and driveways for an authentic suburban experience.

La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Stockton
"They charged me a deposit. When I first stayed, they didn't charge me anything."
University Plaza Waterfront Hotel
"We couldn’t find parking there was a large event the next day across the street. Staff were very helpful went out of there way to help us and ensure we found somewhere to park. We were so thankful!"
Hilton Stockton
"I spent three nights here on a business trip in the area. The hotel is remodeling some of it's entrance inside but seem to keep the mess fairly well maintained. The room was clean and well apportioned. The shower enclosure leaked and left a puddle on the floor. It has been going on for some time as there was rot on the door jam. The restaurant was closed and I didn't find out if that was part of the renovation or permanent. The Bar was serving breakfast but it was sub-par and not worth the time. Personnel were polite and helpful."
Days Inn by Wyndham Galt/Elk Grove South
"Great service and everything was clean."

"It was a great stay."

"The staff is very helpful especially the maintenance guy who's there always working hard"
