We cannot recommend Gaia highly enough. The hotel was beautifully maintained, the staff was exceptional and we love the mission of supporting the macaws. The birds were breathtaking! We also had monkeys right outside our room on multiple occasions. Rooms were amazing and clean. We will definitely be back !

It’s a nice property with a good rooftop bar and restaurant. The staff is super nice and friendly. My only gripe is that they try very hard to be upscale that at times becomes too much. For example, the check in process of choosing shampoos and getting the tour is a bit much. They also assign you a concierge that you can message for anything at anytime (or the concierge will message you to see if you need anything), which is nice but also seems like overkill. In general the hotel was great though. Would recommend it.

We just left the hotel and we loved it. All the staff were great but extra thank you to Deiver, our concierge. He made everything very easy from reservations to the National park, shopping, dinning and transportation. We were very sad to leave and hope to be back soon.

The service at Gaia Hotel was outstanding. Catalina and the entire team went above and beyond to make sure we felt special and well taken care of. They were attentive to every detail, helping us with booking tours, arranging transport, providing towels and coffee, and even organizing cooking classes. The property is tucked away in the jungle yet perched on a mountaintop overlooking the ocean, an incredibly unique and unforgettable setting. The property in on steep land, but transportation is available 24/7 via golf cart and the staff respond quickly. There are many amenities. First, the concierge staff are top notch. Johansy made sure all of our needs were met and she went above and beyond to do so. For example, when we found out the mini bar service was no longer offered, she helped us order snacks and drinks to be delivered from a grocery store to have in our room. Second, the resort provides its' own guides for the Manuel Antonio National Park. We arranged to have a private tour due to my mobility limitations. We had Clarence Whittaker as our guide, and he was so patient, friendly and helpful, he pushed me in a wheelchair, UPHILL and over gravel and rocks. He was incredible. And of course, he was an excellent, knowledgeable guide. I cannot say enough about him. There is also a free tour of the hotel's own nature reserve, but we didn't go on it. The food at the restaurant is excellent. The included breakfast is very generous. All the wait staff were friendly and attentive. The view is gorgeous and we watched the sun set from the restaurant and Sky Bar every night. We heard howler monkeys and toucans. The drinks were delicious and not overly sweet like in the US. Our room was lovely, comfortable and clean and it had nice amenities too, like delicious coffee, a sitting area, an outdoor sitting area and a luxurious shower with multiple nozzles. The housekeeping staff were wonderful and accommodating.
