La Maison dell'Orologio, Rome

Place was clean ,had high ceiling with interesting antique artwork . Air conditioned flat screen TV . Staff could not have been more helpful with information arranging taxis and general information. Situated on a charming side street quite handy for the city tour bus and the Vatican I would say a very good area to be based .Coffee and tea machine one Euro ,Nice overall feel to the place especially if you prefer a place with character versus an international type hote.l

Fantastic neighborhood, a 4-minute walk to both a great laundry service and a delicious bakery. There's a service elevator for people who bring huge suitcases (like my ill-informed self). The only downside was some noisy French people next door because the walls are a bit thin.

It is a B&B. We didn't get Breakfast. Didn't know we had to sign up for it. Pretty sparse accomidation. The room was not well appointed. Elevator only worked part of the time. They changed their phone number we were given when we booked so when we tried to call in advance for a late arrival there was no connection. The number furnished on the Booking was out of date. I would not stay there again. Lots of money for not much. The only good part was the location. Interesting old part of Rome.

Fantastic location. Helpful, friendly staff. We love Michelle. Have stayed here several times and will continue to come back.

The host, Michelle, was very helpful and friendly. We ate breakfast at the hotel eat morning and she made us coffee and helped us with our day ahead. An easy, no frills place to stay in Rome.
