Stayed twice this year over night as we were attending shows at the Atkinson. Stayed many times when it was the Ramada but not again until this year and very very pleased that the standards were still as high now. Room was very clean and tidy the bathroom was very clean. Very quiet on both occasions and on this recent occasion the access road to the car park has been rebuilt as the work for the new Marine Leisure Centre has started it’s now directly after the Hotel on the left as you approach from the town centre. Will hopefully stay again next year.

Lovely spacious room, great telly , super comfy bed. Slept well. Breakfast was usual, no surprises but the pastries were really really good. However the coffee was actually un drinkable. Atrocious grey brown liquid in an Urn. Totally vile. Didnt taste like coffee or anything else for that matter. The lifts are eccentric and try to catch everyone in the doors. You go on a random ride to other floors before you get to yours. The safe in our room also wouldnt work so we has to get a member of staff to open it. All in all its a good location with comfy beds. The public areas had a bit of a warehouse feel to it. Space was filled with random bits of furniture. But id stay again. Very good location

Overall we enjoyed our stay, unfortunately though due to a wedding being held in the hotel it was noisy late in the evening, our room overlooked the terrace where people were talking / laughing etc until quite late. Lovely stay and we were very pleased to be upgraded. Nice view but windows are really dirty so can’t see it properly. Nice comfy bed but didn’t really sleep as the room was too warm. We paid £10 each for breakfast and were impressed with the quality. Woukd definitely return
