We really appreciated the bountiful breakfast in the morning with hot scrambled eggs, waffles, and a nice choice of other tasty breakfast food. The fitness center had a nice variety in equipment, more than I've noticed at most motels that have fitness rooms. Also, the pool and hot tub we're clean and good condition. And they covered garage, we were able to charge our AE at Level 1 overnight, increasing the kilowatt hours from 57% up to 72%,, for free.

I was in SLO on business and found the Sands incredibly affordable and comfortable. The rooms are large. The bed and bedding felt upscale and super comfortable. Bathrooms are newly remodeled. The front desk associate was very helpful and let me have a late checkout although I didn’t give her much notice, I was on a deadline and forgot while I was working on my room. The cleaning staff was friendly and professional. Overall I would stay here again. The only criticism is the noise from neighboring room is easily heard but the guests were partying so I suspect other business travelers would be much quieter.
